Unfortunately, the server that hosts several of our systems, including the forums, decided it had had enough early on the morning of 17th February 2007 it took us until late on the 18th February 2007 to get most of the systems back up and running again.

However, as a knock on from the file system failure the server suffered, we were informed that the backups that we had in place with the hosting company were not working correctly and that recent backups also had considerable corruption.

Unfortuantely this situation has not changed (the forums remained closed on Monday 19th February 2007 whilst the hosting company tried to retrieve data from a later backup) and the forum data we've been able to restore is from the 20th January 2007. This, obviously, is nearly a month's worth of forum posts, accounts etc. that have been lost and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Needless to say we're not entirely happy with the hosting company over this and are reviewing our hosting arrangements. It is possible that there will be further downtime at some point over the next few weeks whilst we migrate to a different hosting service, although if this happens we will give warning of when the downtime will happen and try to keep this to a minimum.

If you have opened an account on the forum, made any account changes, or had your account activated for the registered users forums since the 20th January please note that these changes will be lost. Please contact support@jshop.co.uk for help on any of these matters.

Once again, apologies for any inconvenience.
