Updated Contact Form Script
 

Recently there has been a spate of robots trawling Internet sites, testing out contact forms for spam possibilities. JShop Server includes validation on fields for the contact form that should stop this, however emails are still being sent to the store owners and, in some cases, lots of the min short periods of time.

To counter this we've uploaded a new contact.php file to the JShop Server Registered Users Download Area which you can now download and put on your server. This new version tries to detect such attempts and, if one is detected, it will no longer send an email to the merchant.

This isn't just limited to JShop Server, for those who are wondering. At present it's an Internet-wide problem affecting many, many sites.

There's another spate of these going on currently, so we thought we would bump this thread back up to the top of the announcements.
