Thumbs up Feature Voting Now Live!

Feature Voting Now Live!

Our server move was completed over the weekend and this morning we have released the new registered users area which includes the long awaited feature voting facility. The feature voting tool is what we'll be using in the future to help decide a lot of the new feaures that go into JShop Server so it's important that if you want a say in how the product develops that you take part in this process. Some highlights of the feature voting tool include:
  • Create your own feature requests.
  • Categories to help organise the requests made.
  • Both positive and negative voting.
  • Extensive searching facility.
  • Commenting on feature requests.
  • Subscribe to feature requests to receive email updates on new comments / status changes.

The tool will undoubtedly evolve over time and if you have any suggestions on how to improve the system please email voting@jshop.co.uk or create a feature request under the 'Registered Users Area' category.

Set Your Username

In order to access the feature voting tool after logging in, you'll need to click on 'Account Settings' and set a username against your account. This username will appear against all your actions in the feature voting tool and can, once created, be used to login to the registered users area instead of the User ID you've had to use until now.

Using the Feature Voting Tool

When you first go to the feature voting tool, we'd suggest clicking the Help link which will explain in more detail what the system is, how to use and who's eligible to vote. This is a fairly comprehensive section which should help you get started in using the tool.

Feedback

We'll be keeping a close eye on the feature voting tool over the next few days to make sure everything is working as it should be. If you encounter anything that you believe is a bug in the system please email bugs@jshop.co.uk and we'll look into it.
